Spots 'R' Us Dalmatians is located in Florence, Mississippi, about 15 minutes  Southeast of the Capitol of Jackson.  We are by no means, a big dalmatian kennel being that all of our dogs are treated like babies and are raised along side us and are part of our family. We live in the country so the dogs have room to run and play in our back yard. Although we don't own a lot of land, the dogs still get to play and have fun. On the weekends, they get to visit my parents farm with hundred and hundreds of acres of land, several ponds, and lots of other furry friends including pet ducks, several cows, lots of puppy pals, cats, our horses and even a pet deer. Spots 'R' Us Dalmatians has many years of combined experience in caring for, breeding and raising dogs. My mother is owner, breeder, and trainer of Magee Creek Labrador Retrievers. For many years, I have watched and learned from her as she bred champion bloodline labs and trained them to hunt, guard, track, trail, and retrieve, even herd.  Over the years, I have learned from several vets and am well educated on medicines, techniques, and overall health issues of dogs today. Throughout my high school years, I worked for a local Animal Rescue League, St. Francis Animal Shelter.

Our family includes myself, Amber, my husband, Brad and our 2 year old daughter, Kirsten MuRae. That is the two legged members. Now for the four legged ones. Let see, we have Penny, a black and white CKC girl that thinks she is human; Ginger, our black and white CKC girl that is our tubalard of the crew; Bryant, our black and white CKC male that thinks everything has to be marked; Cookie, our black and white AKC girl who was a bit shy at first but has come around and loves our attention; Pebbles, our liver and white AKC girl that, if there was a such thing as doggie ADHD, she'd be the mascot; Sassy, our other liver and white AKC girl that even though she is grown, still acts like she is 6 months old and last but not least, there's Daisy. Daisy is our other black and white AKC girl.

As of now, plans are in the making for our outside dogs to have their very own 576 square foot heated/cooled indoor dog home to get in and out of the weather and have a home to call their very own, complete with 2 whelping rooms, 8 individual dog runs made of 2"x4" coated saftey panels, personal doggie doors, comfy beds to lay their heads,  lots of toys, and a washing tub to stay nice, clean and healthy. Now, don't get me wrong, our dogs will not be shoved away, out of sight, out of mind. All will still be able to run and play in our backyard, as well as seek shelter in their personal wooden dog houses on our back porch. As you can see, WE SPOIL OUR LOVEABLE PUPS!! THEY ARE BIG BABIES!!!

Let me tell you the story that led to Spots 'R' Us Dalmatians. A little while ago, I began to realize that as amazing as they are, they are also VERY HARD TO  FIND!!!  I have always loved the breed and when I begin to search for a dalmatian to replace the  one I had lost a few years ago, I didn't know how big of a task I had ahead of me. The closest breeder was 7 hours away and almost two states over. Fortunately, being that it was our 3 year anniversary, my husband happily agreed to drive to Scottsboro, Alabama, where we had found a breeder selling all of her spotted friends; her loss, our gain, I must say.  Now, these dogs had been in a pen their entire life, never been in a collar, much less had a leash on. When we were ready to go and mentioned collars and leashs, they informed us of this. My husband literally had to pick  Penny and Bryant up and carry them to the vehicle. Also, we were informed that in the past, they had escaped their pens and were nearly impossible to catch. We even watched them chase  Bryant and corner him in a dog house to catch him for us. At this point, I knew my husband was thinking we were crazy, but a 7 hour drive, we were not going home empty handed, so we loaded them up, said our goodbye's and off we were on our way home. Now you would think "These dogs are going to destroy the house," but for them to get to know us better, we let them sleep in our laundry room. With a little time, teaching, love and effort, you would think these dogs were raised in a house their entire lives. When let outside to run and play, they come running with happy smiles and wagging tails the minute you walk out the door. They are the biggest babies, super smart, absolutely loving and we have had no problems with them what so ever. I can actually say that when we bought them, I knew I was getting two new companions but didn't know that babysitter's were thrown in for free. They absolutely love our 14 month old daughter and watch her every move.  You will even see in pictures that our daughter thinks they are her little spotted ponies.

The Dalmatian is a truely amazing breed and because of this, I have became a breeder. Anyone that talks negatively about the breed, I tell them this story. The Dalmatian has gotten such a bad name, but I say, a dog is as bad as the person that owns him; no certiain breed, just certian owners. My goal is to allow others to experience the joy, laughter and love that we have with these precious animals. At the same time, I hope to prove the bad stories of the Dalmatian breed to be wrong.
